Be very careful with the 2nd truism. Never, ever sell the project. Always sell the resulting product. This little difference difference will make a huge difference because of software copyright-like protection. Unlike normal copyright, on a work you do for another entity, the copyright is from that entity, not yours. It's the only such exception. So, any doubt, regarding a project might end up with you having nothing to show up in the end.

Regarding the last truism, I recommend searching google for "rich vs king" and "sexy vs money".

    Best regards,

    Hey Celso,

Do check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFSPHfZQpIQ on how Silicon Valley really got where it's at..
Yeah, death to the "self-help" movement. Tons of people getting rich by telling other people how to get rich.. it's like the gold rush all over..

    Ciao

Ahahah! So true! Maybe you should write a book on that! — oh wait.

Sorry but I would have to disagree with 1 and 2 and agree with 3, 4 and 5.

On 1-: take a look at Israel. It worked. #2 country in NASDAQ after US
On 2-: this really depends on what you want to achieve. Have not seen boot-strap startups make it big. And by big I mean $1B+. If you are happy with making a good living, then go the boot-strap route.
