Geek - the one that is an avid technology consumer
Hacker - the one that loves technology, wants to understand how it's made and likes to change things for his pleasure

I *don't* want to compile kernels anymore, I *don't* want to compile my office suite anymore, neither any kind of program that I use, but I still like technology, I love the inner bits, I need to know how it's made and now and them I do change them to my own pleasure.

My personal comment is this, I consider myself in the middle of does can't be 100% geek because... What's a geek ? ( I don't watch interstar galatica and don't like it. By hacker once one said that a Hacker is someone who know's HTML + Perl + Bash scripting (Richard Stallman I think ??) not sure, I'm a enthusiast of new tech somethings more then others I'm interested in many things related to the web and made the mistake of saying that ajax was a hype (two years ago I said this ) ! Don't have much time know with work and life to be exploring much but I keep on looking at things, not trying has many has I would like but... Knowing that they are there at least for when I need something.

Anyway, go cut your air !
